Rules
1.General
1.1 The Objectives
The main objctives of the competition are to find the SkyRace-Champions 2007/08 in all 5 classes, based on the performances of the pilots in the competition flights and of course to have fun.So have fun and be fair!!!
1.2 The Champions
The Champion of each class will be the pilot with the highest overall score after the last competition day. To be awarded champion of a class, in the class, more than 5 pilots must have flewn regularely (average number of pilots >/=5)1.3 The Championship classes
The competition is flewn in 6 classes: Open class, 18m-class, 15m-class, Std.class and Miscellaneous class(2 Time zones, sperated scoring). In Miscellaneous class we'll fly with different plane classes, including School and World class. Every pilot is only allowed to fly in 1 class.1.4 The Calendar
The competition will start on the 26th of October 2007 and end on the 28th of March 2007. The flights are always friday at 20:00CET, jointime 19:45-20:15CET, so there will be 23 competition days. The later Misc. class will have their jointime from 22:45.23:15 UTC.
2.Pilots
2.1 The Entry
The maximum number of pilots in one class is 50, so the pilots can sign up in a class until there are 50 pilots in that class. If someone retires from the competition another pilot can get his place any time in the competition, but he doesn't get his overall points.2.2. Requirements
Every pilot has to own a legal copy of condor, manipulating the program or the planes is not allowed and will be punished with exclusion from the competition. For pilots in the Miscellaneous class it is mandatory to buy the plane packs, as we will have flights only using planes included in a plane pack. Also for pilots in other classes it might be beneficial to buy the plane pack.
3.Flight
3.1 The Tasks
The tasks will be set by the tasksetters.3.2 The time scedule
Generally Join time is from 19:45-20:15 CET (22:45-23:45UTC for "western class"). The Race start is 15 minutes after end of join time for normal tasks with 120 minutes start time window. For tasks with regattastart the race in time is 20minutes.3.3 Sectors
The startline will be 10km long and it will be perpendicular to the track to the first TP. Turnpoints will generally be cans with a 0,5km radius, depending on new condor patches also waypoints with 0,5km cans and 3km sectors as well as AATs might be possible. The finish line will be 1km long and perpendicular to the track from the last TP.3.4 Briefing
The Briefing will be published at the CCC and via mail at 19:00 CET. The general NOTAM settings will be:
Sometimes PDA will be disabled and we'll start with winch from time to time.
3.5 Disconnections and Outlandings
I you are disconnected during the flight just finish your flight and send your flight track(you have to send your .ftr-file, you can also send igc-file so we don't have to convert the file) immediately after your landing to the competition officials. An outlanding will only be scored when you land out safely, so either if the massege "X.Pilotname landed" appears in the chat or if you send your flight track(.ftr, .igc optional)to us in the case you landet out after a disconnection. So after bluescreens or computer "crashes" your flight won't be scored.3.6 Crashing
If someone crashes the competition flight your flight will be scored with 0points (except mid-air collisions), Q is enabled only after mid-air collisions. If someone crashes into other pilots on purpose he will be excluded from the competition for 3 flights, if he does so again he will be excluded from the competition and another pilot can take over his place.
3.7 Cheating
If someone is caught cheating he will be disqualified for the whole competition and his place will be given to soemone else.
4.Scoring
4.1 Daily Results
The scoring system is the normal scoring system included in Condor, so the results you see after the flight will be the final ones except penalties have to be given or a pilot completed the task offline. The results will be published either after the flight until 24:00 CET or on the next morning.
Attention: To be scored you have to use the callsign you entered at the CCC!!!
4.2 Overall Scoring
For the overall scoring the 13 flights with the highest score will be counted. If a pilot flies 13 times or less all his result will be counted, but with less than 13 flights the chances on getting one of the first places will decrease.
5.Prizegiving
The winners might get diplomas and some little surprises, these will be sent to the winners after the end of the competition.
